Day 7: 8, 394 Words!
It felt good being able to jump into writing today without the obstacle of work. When I opened my eyes, my first thought was about my story.
I started off slow again, just looking at the screen, but then I caught a train of thought and went with it. It’s scary to think that it’s so easy to fall into the trap of writer’s block, but I now know that all I have to do is force my way through it.
The story is taking shape and I have finally hit the point in the book where things are about to get interesting. My character has just had a revelation and I’ve just introduced a villain. It was a challenge to write the scene and to not do so in a redundant fashion. I don’t want to be one of those people who write with an exclamation point and follows it with a, “he said this exuberantly.”
I’m almost at the 10,000 mark and it’s only been a week… I am so beyond excited it’s ridiculous!
