Reading/Books Photographs for Promos

I want to see just how much you guys love reading!

I will be hosting this until November 1st.

So, here’s what’s up:

I never do any promos because this is a book/writing/reading/reviewing blog, but for the sake of this one little challenge, I will break this rule just this once.

Objective:

I want to showcase you guys reading! Whoever sends me (by submitting or emailing my blog email address—confessionsofabookaddict[at]gmail[dot]com) creative pictures of books, pictures of yourselves reading, pictures of your bookcases/book collections—basically anything to do with books, will get a promo on my blog.

I will share your photograph here on the blog and give full credit to the original photographer by linking up whatever links you want me to show. You don’t have to be a member of Tumblr, just someone who loves to read and knows what my blog is about!

Please include your name and blog URL and any other important links when submitting and/or emailing a photograph.

I hope to see some awesome submissions!

Happy reading!

I challenge you to take a picture every day of one book you want to read.

It doesn’t have to be artsy or anything, just a picture of a book you want to read.

Maybe label it: Bucket to-read list.

If you don’t have the book you want to read, then just use a picture from Goodreads, Amazon, google, etc.

I want to start doing this because we all live by the images we find via outside sources, specifically libraries, bookcases, and people reading—why not add in your own experiences into the world of books here on tumblr?

You can submit pictures via my blog here

Or, just add the picture to your blog and tag it as #book bucket list.

I’m going to start doing this tonight, will you be participating?

30 Day Character Challenge: Day 26

26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.

Favorite comfort food: Carrots

Favorite Vice: Her inability to care if she is in danger, as long as she figures out the truth.

Favorite outfit:…. she doesn’t have many choices. If you read my book, you’ll know what I mean ;)

Favorite hot drink: Tea, she loves herbal tea that her mom makes.

Favorite time of the year: When her parents get time off from the farm to spend time with her.

Favorite holiday: There aren’t really holidays in Abbie’s world, since the government discontinued all of the old world religions and such.

Happy reading!

30 Day Character Challenge: Day 24

24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?

He needs to be caring, but not naive. He accepts her when others don’t, and makes her smile when everything suggests that smiling is the last thing she should be doing. He makes her laugh, is tall and gorgeous, but without being obnoxiously aware of his appearance. He needs to see through people’s faults, until he finds the core of their being.

He will be a protector, but keep his distance when she needs it. He understands that she has gotten into situations because of who and what she is, so he doesn’t act like an over-protective ass.

Basically, Abbie has found her ideal romantic partner and I tried very hard to avoid the cliches surrounding romance these days in YA.

I hope you guys like it when I eventually let the story out into the world. :)

Happy reading!

30 Day Character Challenge: Day 21

21.) What would your character’s CUTIE MARK be?

I’m not quite sure what this means, but I will take a stab at what I THINK it means:

Abby’s “Cutie Mark” would be the tattoo she has on the back of her neck: it’s so much like everyone else’s, yet so different. It allows her to do things that people thought were extinct.

Gulp, that’s all I can say (and I might have said too much!)

Happy reading!
